Consumer electronics giant Samsung has pushed the boundaries of what HDTV is with the new LN52B750 52 inch model, Seeing it in the living room was a serious ‘wow’ moment for me. Even though I had to rearrange furniture, this stylish set made the work and the hassle worth the effort. It’s one of Samsung’s biggest models, and has an array of futuristic features.
Wide Screen Magic
The Samsung LN52B750 comes with a wide 52 inch LCD high definition screen. This gives its viewers a theatre feel. One can set this sleekly designed model on a table top or hang it on your living room wall as a stunning feature. It has various picture modes like Dynamic, Natural, Standard, and Movie. You can select any mode based on your taste and need not change the color settings as it automatically sets the color suited for each mode. Samsung’s latest Auto Motion Plus 240Hz Technology helps transform the viewing experience into an almost real-life experience also.
Clearer and Sharper Images
Like nearly every fully HD capable TV made in the last four years, this one does screen resolutions of 1080 lines per inch on progressive scan - this is called 1080p resolution, and is the highest broadcast standard of screen resolution available. The result is a fantastically clear display.
TruSurround System
We were significantly impressed by the audio options for the Samsung LN52B750. It’s got decent built in speakers and good surround sound; since we had a decent audio rig from the last TV we were replacing, it meshed nicely with them and got into things like Dolby surround capabilities, but if we hadn’t had it, we might not have bothered getting one - the speakers were that good.
Preloaded Content Library
Taking TV watching experiences into new heights, the Samsung LN52B750 provides its very own content library. This includes lots of games for video game lovers. Also, the library has a great collection of information, exercise routines and entertainment content which users can use at their leisure when they get bored of TV programs.
Medi 2.0 Features - An HDTV And A Personal Computer
The digital convergence has been promised in home entertainment for over a decade now, going back to the WebTV. Fast forward, and it’s still being promised, though the delivery is getting better. The Samsung LN52B750 has the ability to work within your internet connection and let you browse multimedia on the large screen, from YouTube to Flickr Accounts. While I personally don’t see any real benefit to showing YouTube video on a screen this large, it does hold promise for things like NetFlix On Demand. The system is also pretty good for listening to music - Pandora comes pre-loaded.
Futuristic Touch of Color Design
Having seen too many HDTVs that look like they were designed for some hyper futuristic sterile lab, it’s nice to see that Samsung thought about making something that works with most American living rooms. It’s got nice clean lines, and a narrow bezel, with a mixture of black and charcoal gray to make sure it works with most living room dcor.
This Samsung design has a lot to recommend it for anyone in the market for an HDTV. You should check out the features in person at your local electronics retailer, but also comparison shop on line, where you may get a significant discount.
