One of the things that Brisbane is most proud of is their night club scenes. Most of the clubs are open from Thursday to Sunday nights, they charge between $7 and $25, and are adamant about checking ID. The nightclub scene is located int he Valley and attracts a mix of all sexual preferences.

Family, McLachlan Street, Fortitude Valley: One of Brisbane’s best nightclubs, the music scene here is phenomenal. Family exhilarates dance fans every weekend on four levels with two dance floors, four bars, four funky themed booths and a top notch sound system. Elite DJs from around the world frequently grace the decks including the Stafford Brothers with their famous house mixes and Baby Gee who has won many awards for his unique mixes.

Monastery: Located on Ann Street, Monastery has been refurbished to give visitors easier access to the bar and more space for dancing. Inside the walls are covered with a plush fabric and the lighting has a Gothic feel. All this combined with the lucid soundscape gives this night club the actual feel of a monastery.

Fringe Bar: Also located on Ann Street is a 70’s decor bar and nightclub. Thursday nights are the popular choice for the younger crowds as they have live local bands play from 8pm-10pm and then the DJ spins some funk house and electro until the early hours. If you are looking for more of the Pops ear music then you would be wise to visit Fringe Bar on any other night, except Thursday.

Uber: Located on Boundary Street in the West End, Uber has a stylish decor, much like the patron who frequently visit. It’s style is that of an old boutique hotel with brushed steel and polished dark wood. Weekend are dedicated to strictly house music, otherwise the music choices vary. The best part of Uber is the balcony bar where you can enjoy the prime view of the West End.

Beat MegaClub: Another Ann Street favorite, this club has five dance floors, six bars and play the music that popular among all dance fans-techno. Although welcoming to all, Beat is very popular among the gay and lesbian crowd and has regular drag performances.
