Moving can be a stressful event for most families. Not only do they have to deal with starting a new life they have to make sure the actual move goes smoothly. Besides boxes you can also pack up your luggage and duffel bags as well. Pack them with clothes, towels, sheets, etc. It will save you some boxes for the more bulky items. Each family member can pack their own personal items into their own duffel and book bags.

Take any valuables you in your own car when traveling to the new home. Have any photos or receipts handy of all your valuables just in case you want to take out a claim if they have been damaged, lost, or destroyed. Most importantly don’t pack any important documents (birth certificate, diplomas, bank statements, etc) in any of the boxes the movers will be handling. They should be with you at all times in the bag you will be carrying for the trip.

Following these steps will make any move go off without a hitch. You will be prepared for anything that will come your way. By avoiding the potential stress you and your family will be able to quickly integrate yourselves in your new home.
