The tropical rainforests that cover the hills in Sarawak also afford a good population of tigers, orangutans, bears, crocodiles, elephants, leopards, monkeys, panthers, rhinoceroses and elephants, an undying excitement for all wildlife lovers. Although having said that, not all are roaming the lands, of course. Borneo is one of the best places here to enjoy the tropical climate. Langkawi and Penang too are also known for their sheer natural beauty. Malaysias coastline, as mentioned is made up of mile upon mile of golden sandy beaches and coral reefs.
The rainforests that blanket most of the foothills and mountains of Malaysia are home to a number of somewhat unexpected animals too. You can find wild bears, big cats, orangutans, various species of monkeys, bat colonies, all colors of snakes and of course crocodiles both small and very, very large!
Poring Hot Spring These hot springs are located within Kinabalu Park. You can relax in the sulfuric waters of the springs after climbing the heights of Mount Kindabalu, while at the same time you may be fortunate enough to spot the world’s largest flower - the Rafflesia, which stretches to over a meter wide at maturity.
If you are more inclined towards shopping excursions then perhaps Malaysias capital city is for you. Kuala Lumpur is a haven for shoppers where you can purchase anything from designer clothing to Asian arts and craft works. Goes without saying that the night life is something special too.
Prefer the casino? Then you should think about heading out to Genting Highlands, which they say is the Las Vegas of Malaysia. Its actually the only casino city in Malaysia and boasts some fantastic golf courses too.
Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre was established back in the 1960’s. The primary initiative of the centre was the rescue and rehabilitation of baby orangutan that were orphaned for various reasons. They are then and prepared for life in the jungle, although many actually do remain in the center. You can also see others wild animals like spiders, hornbills and also 200 species of birds.
There is something for everyone in Malaysia. You just need to figure what appeals most to you and the world is your oyster.
