When it comes to visiting Florida, you just can’t go wrong if you take in one of their many theme parks. Whether you’re seeking thrill rides, an African expedition, or dips into the aquatic world, you won’t be disappointed by what Florida has to offer.

There are a variety of theme parks to visit and explore in Florida. Disneyworld is probably the most famous and is actually the most visited resort in the world. It isn’t just one park but consists of four theme parks, two water parks, and twenty-three hotels. It actually takes up the entire town of Lake Buena Vista.

Of the four theme parks that help make up Disneyworld, there are Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom. It is the Magic Kingdom that most people associate with Disneyworld since it is the park that has the “It’s a Small World” ride and the Cinderella castle.

Cultural diversity and scientific innovations are explored at Epcot Center. Some of the countries showcased in the World Showcase area are Morocco, Japan, France, Italy, China, Norway, and Germany.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, guests can visit a 500-acre theme park devoted to different types of animals. They even have a musical based on “The Lion King.”

Although not part of the Disneyworld parks, Universal Studios is another fun theme park to visit in Florida. It is also the 5th most visited theme park in the United States. Here, visitors are invited to “ride the movies.”

A major difference between the Universal Studios in Florida and the one in Los Angeles is that the Florida park was designed to be a theme park, as well as working studios. Aside from being able to ride on rides that are inspired by the movies, guests can also practically become part of the movies themselves. One popular attraction lets guests go out on a boat and be chased by “Jaws.”

Another fun attraction is the Universal Horror’s Makeup Show where guests are able to watch how horror movie special effects are created. There is even a ride based on the movie “Twister” where guests can ride out a make believe tornado.

Busch-Gardens, another popular theme park, is located in Tampa. It has an African theme and boasts more than 2,700 animals. The park is divided into separate areas including Stanleyville, Land of the Dragons, the Bird Gardens, Morocco, Jungala, Timbuktu, Nairobi, Crown Colony, Egypt, and the Congo. Animals and attractions are featured in each of these areas and guests can see impalas, ostriches, hyenas, gorillas, cranes, storks, cheetahs, elephants, chimpanzees, and more.

Aside from animals, Busch Gardens also has several rides, including the SheiKra, a vertical dive coaster. In Egypt, visitors can ride on Montu, a steel roller coaster with 7 inversions.

SeaWorld, located in Orlando, is another very popular theme park. At SeaWorld, guests can go on an aquatic adventure. Many forms of marine life can be viewed such as dolphins, manatees, whales, and stingrays. Aside from the sea life, Busch Gardens also has Clydesdale hamlet where visitors can see the famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales.

There are also live shows at Busch-Gardens that feature animal stars. You can also find a replica of a Mediterranean village at the Waterfront, the park’s newest attraction.

There are many things to see and do at Florida’s theme parks, and you could spend virtually a month trying to fit everything in. No matter what your style or what you want to see, there is something for everyone.
