The boats are not small either. Some of them let you go fishing with up to 7 friends, and are 44 foot long. When we went deep sea fishing in Cabo San Lucas there was only the two of us so we had the smallest boat they had. You can get three people in the smallest boats which would have saved us some money but we had heard so mush about the fishing in Cabo San Lucas we just needed to have a go.

The Marlin

The captain of the boat was telling us about the Marlin people catch when they're fishing in Cabo. Some of them are huge. A 300 lb Marlin sounds frightening to catch, but at the same time a huge thrill.

When we was deep sea fishing in Cabo San Lucas we was one of the unfortunate ones that didn't catch a Marlin that day. But when we got back to the marina it had been a quiet day all round. These happen every now and then but not too often in Cabo San Lucas. It's not the Marlin capital of the world for nothing.

We did however catch a couple of tuna that we threw back. We had the opportunity to keep the fish but we decided on letting them go. We got a certificate for that back at the marina as a trophy instead of the fish.
