French RivieraWhile out driving along the Transpeninsular Highway one day we came across the French Riviera. That's not the place, it's a classy restaurant and bakery situated olong the Los Cabos Corridor. Before you get in the restaurant the smell of the bread cooking is gorgeous. We couldn't believe it, we came out for a drive and this gourmet restaurant turned up.
When we got inside the smell was even more intense. There's something about the smell of bread cooking, and that was the reason we decided to go back there the next day for breakfast. It said on the menu they did an assortment of fresh croissants. We had been to Paris the previous year, and remembered what they tasted like there so we was hoping for the same. So we explained to the man - that came over and asked if we wanted a table - the reason why we was leaving so quickly. He said he wasn't working the next morning but said we would enjoy our French Riviera breakfast. And he also told us there was another restaurant along Marina Boulevard. That one was a lot nearer to where we was staying. We hadn't been in Cabo San Lucas that long when we first found the French Riviera so that's how we missed the one more local to our hotel. We left the restaurant so looking forward to the next morning. It was going to be a completely different Cabo San Lucas breakfast we was used too.
We went the next morning ordered our croissants with marmalade, and also ordered a side order of fresh yogurt. It was well worth the wait. The croissants were soft and warm, and melted in your mouth. We was glad we ordered 2 lots of the croissants as they were going down quite easily. The French Riviera is a gourmet restaurant, and the chefs are true professionals at what they do best. And that's cook good food. For gourmet cooking their prices are good as well. Even the lunch and dinner menus are good value. Return from French Riviera to Cabo San Lucas Home |
