If you like visiting beaches then the Playa Santa Maria should be on your shortlist of Cabo San Lucas beaches. The beach has pink sand and is shaped like a lagoon which is probably the reason why the fish rest here. It's a protected marine sanctuary, and there's plenty of marine life here.

The best time to come and see the fish is in the morning. The water is a lot clearer then so you'll see mush more of the colorful marine life. The Playa Santa Maria is quite a secluded beach. It has a few vendors around it but that's all. This makes it a more relaxing beach compared to somewhere like El Medano Beach. You can swim here as well without the amount of people you get in the sea at El Medano Beach.
You can bring food to feed to the fish. It's a truly amazing experience, it's just like something you would see on a nature program on the Discovery channel. The fish are just so colorful, you'll get some good photos if you have an underwater camera.
The Santa Maria beach is about 12 KM from downtown cabo, so it's a little way out, and a Cabo San Lucas car rental would be a good option for you.
Being this far out is one of the reasons it's so peaceful here. You'll see a few people on the beach, and cruises use this part of the sea as well. If you don't want to drive out here you can get a Cabo cruise out here, and snorkel with the fish as part of the cruise.

Once you get near to the Playa Santa Maria when you drive here it can be a bit tricky to find the beach. It's easy to miss the sign, and then when you see it you just have to drive down a dirt road to the parking area. Then it's a bit of a walk from your car, but you will realize it is well worth it.
If you want a part of Cabo San Lucas beach that's peaceful, and you can have a dip in the sea you will like it at Santa Maria.
